You know how much I love to can jam…any kind of jam…right? Well, I do!
I also love to give jam {and other foods I preserve} as fun gifts for Christmas, birthdays, teacher appreciation, etc.
When I give canned food as gifts, I like to pair it with homemade bread, pita chips, crackers, etc. and use fabric toppers and fun tags to decorate the jars. It’s just a simple step that I feel makes the whole gift look more “thoughtful” and pulled together.
In the past, I have made my own tags or found printable tags online; however, I recently came across some of the cutest printable tags ever over at Domestifluff.com. Kristen designed these tags specifically for jam jars…
She designed these rectangular tags and circle tags…so pick your preference. Then head on over to her website to print them out and see all her other adorable craft ideas and tasty recipes.

I have a question. First of all. I love your recipe. I have made 36 jars. Blackberries, raspberry, blueberry, & strawberry.
My question is Why is my strawberry jam not very red?. it’s more like pale apricot color. It’s not very appealing. I used frozen strawberries. Does that make a difference? And how can I make it redder?

Hi Theresa — wow, that’s a lot of jam! Good for you 🙂
As for strawberry jam, mine is always very red — so it might just be that the strawberries you used were lighter. Otherwise, I’m honestly not sure. You could always add some raspberries in for a darker color, or just use a little food coloring!
