Now that we have a child, holidays are just THAT much more fun.
It’s fun to experience each “first” new holiday with Nora — and take a bunch of pictures too… so that’s what we’re doing today.
Parade in the morning.
Out for brunch/lunch — an after-parade tradition.
Pool party at my cousin’s house in the afternoon.
Cookout with the extended family for dinner (I’m bringing my triple chocolate cake).
Fireworks in the evening.
It should be a fun day — and maybe we’ll even tire Nora out enough so she sleeps well tonight 🙂
Maybe…
How are you celebrating today?

You are so right about holidays being more fun with kids. Our son is grown and lives several hours away. After he left home, our holidays were very bland and thrown together at the last minute. But now we have a granddaughter! Our son and family are coming here to spend a few days. I can barely contain my excitement. Getting to see her eyes light up when she sees decorations, bubbles and all things new to her…. 🙂 OMG I can’t put into words how happy I feel when I’m with her.
