Remember how I wanted to switch to more natural and organic beauty products?
Well, I found a company who specializes in just that!
A friend recently told me about Prairieland Herbs — a small business based in central Iowa. Prairieland Herbs was started in 1998 and is fully owned and operated by mother-daughter team, Donna and Maggie. They grow their own herbs and flowers on site and they create, bottle, label, package, and ship all their products by hand after you place your order.
Prairieland Herb products are made with raw ingredients like honey, oatmeal, vinegar, herbs, flowers, salt, sugar, and more so you never have to worry about harmful chemicals or harsh by-products.
Wouldn’t you just LOVE to try some of these products for yourself?
?
Well, you can!
You can purchase products directly from the Prairieland Herb website and you can enter to win an assortment of products!
The Giveaway 411::
Prairieland Herbs is generously giving away a HUGE amount of product to one Simple Organized Living reader. See below for a description of each item. {You can match the numbers to the picture above}
1. Herbal Vinegar Hair Rinse {Rosemary Lavender}
Remember my obsession with vinegar? Well, “hair rinse” is #9 on my list of uses — and it works great. However, the vinegar rinse from Prairie Land Herbs is “infused” vinegar, which means is smells wonderful!
2. Face and Eye Cream {3 Citrus}
Since I’ve been washing my face with oil, I rarely ever have to use moisturizer anymore. However, I’ve been using this Citrus Cream on my eyes at night — I feel so refreshed in the morning and my eyes aren’t ever puffy or dry. Plus, it’s so concentrated that I’ve hardly even made a dent after using it for an entire month!
3. Herbal Healing Wand
Thankfully, I’ve only had to use this product once 🙂 I burned myself on a hot pan and quickly rubbed the healing wand over the burn — it felt better within minutes and was totally healed the next day. This “wand” is the same size as a tube of chap stick so it would be a great addition to any purse or travel emergency kit.
4. Solid Perfume {Lavender Vanilla}
I like perfume, but only if it smells natural — so I love this lavender vanilla scented perfume. Plus, since it’s a solid perfume, it’s great for traveling!
5. Bees Wax Lip Balm {Tee Tree & Mint}
Can you ever have enough lip balm? Enough said!
6. TWO Shampoo and Body Wash Bars {Happy Hippie and Bay Rum}
OK, I know what you’re thinking… a shampoo BAR?? But don’t worry, I thought the same thing, and I can happily tell you these bars are wonderful! Not only do they work marvelously for shampooing my hair, they are a great alternative to body wash and shaving cream. Talk about a space-saving clutter-free product!
7. Whipped Body Butter {3 Citrus}
This product feels as good as it sounds! It is the softest body butter I’ve every tried and it smells SO good. I’ve been using it on my hands before I go to bed {and multiple times throughout the day}!
So far, I haven’t found one Prairieland Herbs product I don’t love…but my favorite is probably the head-to-toe shampoo and body wash bar.
What Product Do I Want to Try Next??
Their laundry detergent!

What a great giveaway! I would love to try everything but especially the bath salts & lotions. I “like” your page on FB! ๐
Jennifer Madigan says
I know you said to let you know of one product but I have 3 that I think I’m going to purchase. I just had our third child and so diaper rash is something that I’m concerned about. I don’t use diaper rash creams very often because I don’t like putting petroleum based products on their skin. The Herbal Healing Salve sounds amazing and I could use that to prevent diaper rash not just heal it.
I also am very interested in the Breathe Easy Herbal Decongestant and Belly Balm (both are probably self explanatory)
