The school year is almost here for Dave (I know there are many schools who have already started) and one thing Dave and I don’t exactly love doing is packing lunches every single day.
However, this year, I’m a little more excited to pack lunches because (thanks to a fun giveaway I did last spring) we have an assortment of reusable AgainBags that we’ll be using in place of hundreds of plastic storage bags.
If you’d like to cut back on your consumption of plastic sandwich and snack bags {and have something FUN for packing lunches this year}, I have the perfect product for you!
AgainBags.com is a company that specializes in hand-made, reusable lunch and snack bags that are lead-free, phthalate-free, BPA-free, AND they come in fabulous colors and patterns…
They also have a brand new Active Wrap set that is absolutely perfect for lunches because the sandwich bag/wrap actually folds out into a “place mat” which I imagine would be nice for sticky, “germy” desks at school or at the office!
These bags are fantastic for sandwiches, wraps, fruits, veggies, cookies, bars, chips, pretzels, crackers, and pretty much any other food you want to carry with you.
I know I’m excited to use the AgainBags this year… and even more excited that they are offering two gift certificates as this weekend’s giveaway!
The Giveaway:
Today, two lucky readers will win a $25 AgainBags gift certificate, good on anything available on the AgainBags’ website.
Also, get 20% off your entire purchase of AgainBags with coupon code: Simple20

Winners will be notified by email and noted at the top of this post. Winners must respond within 48 hours of notification to claim their prize or I will choose a new winner. Please see my full disclosure policy and contact me with any questions you have. Good luck!

What a fun way to pack a lunch. I am a teacher and classes started today. I know that in a couple of weeks I will tire of packing my lunch. These creative and ecologically sound bags could help keep the routine fresh. Thanks for the offer.

Peanut butter sandwich stand-by.
However, I keep a “George Foreman” grill at work so panini’s may become the next favorite!

Our go to for lunch is sandwiches. Or leftovers.

We are heading back to school soon (Sept 4th) so its back to packing lunches for everyone in the family every day. School lunches are not a good choice for us (unhealthy and very costly) and we do not eat out much so packed lunches it is. Using plastic bags for everyone, everyday gets to be a lot! I’ve made a few of my own lunch holders but nothing as cool as these. We would LOVE to try them in our family!
Our go-to foods are peppers and hummus, low fat cheese, salads with beans for protein, turkey and cheese sandwiches, homemade yogurt and granola bars or leftovers from the night before. I pack the night before so its ready for the crazy mornings ahead.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

I pack lunches for my husband and his staples are a sandwich, yogurt, fruit (banana, grapes, berries etc) string cheese, salami sticks, cookies, chips or crackers. (not all at once but his lunch usually consists of a few of those things). Those are some awesome lunch containers! I would love to win some and might even break down and buy some if I don’t win. LOVE the sandwich wrap thing as I often have trouble getting my husband’s sandwiches in regular sandwich bags.

I LOVE this idea. I am a retired elementary school principal. I loved lunch duty as it gave me an opportunity to visit with students in a relaxed environment but watching the custodians wheel out mounds of garbage at the end of each lunch hour made me sick to my stomach. If I was still working I would try to work out a fundraising deal with this company. In a school of 700. i could reduce the amount of plastic and paper being disposed of.
