The school year is almost here for Dave (I know there are many schools who have already started) and one thing Dave and I don’t exactly love doing is packing lunches every single day.
However, this year, I’m a little more excited to pack lunches because (thanks to a fun giveaway I did last spring) we have an assortment of reusable AgainBags that we’ll be using in place of hundreds of plastic storage bags.
If you’d like to cut back on your consumption of plastic sandwich and snack bags {and have something FUN for packing lunches this year}, I have the perfect product for you!
AgainBags.com is a company that specializes in hand-made, reusable lunch and snack bags that are lead-free, phthalate-free, BPA-free, AND they come in fabulous colors and patterns…
They also have a brand new Active Wrap set that is absolutely perfect for lunches because the sandwich bag/wrap actually folds out into a “place mat” which I imagine would be nice for sticky, “germy” desks at school or at the office!
These bags are fantastic for sandwiches, wraps, fruits, veggies, cookies, bars, chips, pretzels, crackers, and pretty much any other food you want to carry with you.
I know I’m excited to use the AgainBags this year… and even more excited that they are offering two gift certificates as this weekend’s giveaway!
The Giveaway:
Today, two lucky readers will win a $25 AgainBags gift certificate, good on anything available on the AgainBags’ website.

We have a rotation with our snacks… we have two a day (and then 3 smaller meals), and we rotate between yogurt, hummus/peppers and applesauce for the one snack and 100 calorie snacks, granola parts, fruit strip/almonds, and cottage cheese and fruit cup for the other snack.
For lunches- that’s easy… we always double our dinner and eat the leftovers for lunch the next day…So I am only cooking one meal a day.

PB&J of course!
Melissa says
We switch off between bringing yogurt, dried plums, raisins, grapes, carrots, pretzels, and sometimes crackers as snacks with our lunches (the main meal is usually left-overs).
As for what we’re packing them in, usually the hard plastic boxes and disposable zipper bags. These reusable bags look like a great alternative to zipper bags though!

Vegetables to dip and pinwheels.

Dad has Alzheimer’s so I take lunch over to Mom and Dad’s and spend time with them. Leftovers or a salad are my typical choice. The reusable bags would be great to hold my snacks (homemade gluten free bread or snack mix). Also having healthy snacks with me when I’m on the go helps me a lot. Plus hubby carries his meal to work so these would be handy for him.

Our absolute go-to item is PB&J, but we try to keep variety by putting lots of goodies inside tortillas as roll-ups. Everything from lunch meat sandwiches to sliced bananas and peanut butter.
