The school year is almost here for Dave (I know there are many schools who have already started) and one thing Dave and I don’t exactly love doing is packing lunches every single day.
However, this year, I’m a little more excited to pack lunches because (thanks to a fun giveaway I did last spring) we have an assortment of reusable AgainBags that we’ll be using in place of hundreds of plastic storage bags.
If you’d like to cut back on your consumption of plastic sandwich and snack bags {and have something FUN for packing lunches this year}, I have the perfect product for you!
AgainBags.com is a company that specializes in hand-made, reusable lunch and snack bags that are lead-free, phthalate-free, BPA-free, AND they come in fabulous colors and patterns…
They also have a brand new Active Wrap set that is absolutely perfect for lunches because the sandwich bag/wrap actually folds out into a “place mat” which I imagine would be nice for sticky, “germy” desks at school or at the office!
These bags are fantastic for sandwiches, wraps, fruits, veggies, cookies, bars, chips, pretzels, crackers, and pretty much any other food you want to carry with you.
I know I’m excited to use the AgainBags this year… and even more excited that they are offering two gift certificates as this weekend’s giveaway!
The Giveaway:
Today, two lucky readers will win a $25 AgainBags gift certificate, good on anything available on the AgainBags’ website.
Also, get 20% off your entire purchase of AgainBags with coupon code: Simple20

This giveaway ends at 10:00 pm on Monday, 9/27/2012 and is open to US residents, 18 years or older. I will use And the Winner Is to select the winning comments at random. Winners will be notified by email and noted at the top of this post. Winners must respond within 48 hours of notification to claim their prize or I will choose a new winner. Please see my full disclosure policy and contact me with any questions you have. Good luck!

I pack leftovers from supper, fruit and my other back up plan is wraps filled with lunchmeat, or whatever the frig holds.

Leftovers from supper or just a bowl of cereal.
Tina S says
Peanut butter and jelly for the kids and leftover dinners for the hubs.

Cucumber slices and baby carrots. I’d love to use these bags for my son’s lunch! I use as many re-usable containers as I can fit in his lunch box, but beyond that, only baggies will fit.
Marsha says
I teach school and take half a sandwich, some chips, some carrots, one cookie, and an apple every day. I try to use the smallest amount possible of plastic wrap in place of baggies or ziplock bags.
Melissa says
Turkey sandwiches and lean cuisines. I need to spice it up a bit.

Our favorite go-to lunch staples are sandwiches (any kind) on whole wheat bread, apple slices, and a couple handfuls of nuts (usually almonds or hazelnuts) to snack on for those in-between times. Would LOVE this reuseable AgainBags for my husband’s and 3 kids’ lunches!

We used to use Wrap-n-Mats, but after a couple of years they were gross. This year we are trying something similar from Kids Konserve, but I could ALWAYS use some extra!

Ooh how exciting! I usually just reuse rubbermaid and tupperware containers that are washable so I don’t waste plastic bags, so this is a neat alternative. Great for cookies and crackers, or rice balls, too!
Allison says
Both my kids are goldfish eaters….which are a MUST for school lunches too. It would be nice to have these baggies for those little fishies! ๐
