I am so excited about this weeks “Weekend Giveaway” because it has helped me clear the clutter from one area I have often struggled to keep organized…
Our batteries!
I know that might sound crazy, but for some reason, I never settled on a great system for storing or organizing all the different types of batteries we have — and then keeping the rechargeable ones charged, the non-rechargeable ones easily accessible, etc. etc. Some were in the kitchen, some in the basement, some in the office… and then we could never find the charger when we needed it!
However, I was recently given an opportunity to write an article for Energizer — and along with that, I was able to test out a bunch of great Energizer products, including their new Universal Charging Station and a bunch of Energizer Rechargeable batteries.
Why I love Energizer’s System:
The Energizer Universal Charger is so compact and portable — yet it’s still able to charge up to 8 batteries at a time, AND it charges AAA, AA, C, D, and 9V batteries so you don’t need a separate charger for each type!
And even though everything I’ve mentioned so far is wonderful — my FAVORITE features of the Energizer Universal Charger is the easy-to-read LED charge status indicator {located on the top cover} that quickly shows you which batteries are fully charged and how much longer the other batteries have until they are charged. This means I don’t have to try to remember how long the batteries have been charging or guess if they are fully charged or not!
Thanks to the Energizer Universal Charger, we have switched all our batteries over to Energizer Rechargeable Batteries and I keep them in a clear plastic bin in our office with the Universal Charger on top of that box. Our batteries are neat, organized, all in one place, and I never have to look for the “right charger”!

Our batteries are currently in a box — at least at one site, but they could be old or new — no one knows! Would be so much better to have rechargeable batteries so eliminate a lot of the extras we now have and any waste. Also, will always know which are ready to use.

Our current charger doesn’t have an indicator light so we are constantly charging our batteries too long & then they fry/don’t hold the charge which means always buying new rechargeable batteries!! This new charger would definitely be great at our home.

My husband went out at 10:00 pm the other night and was sooo frustrated because I could not find any batteries in the house. He just needed one for a clock. With rechargeable batteries and a place to keep them, this would not have been an issue.

With 2 toddlers and a baby on the way, we have a lot of electronics that require batteries. It’s hard to keep up and I hate throwing away “used” batteries. This would be great and help me clean out some of the space in the junk drawer!! 🙂

I am so tired of half used batteries lying around and then not knowing which ones have been used and which are new. This would simplify that! Also, we gave each child a charger with rechargeable batteries but some work better than others and everyone is always looking for a certain one. This looks like the answer!

Well, with 3 children, we go through a LOT of batteries. This would help eliminate purchasing many batteries, plus if we don’t have the size we need, having rechargeable batteries would reduce the amount of frustration (and sometimes tears!) when a toy “runs out of gas”.

Having two little ones and a husband that plays video games, I have my fair share of toys and video game handsets that need batteries. I would LOVE a good recharging set so I don’t have to keep buying batteries and throwing away (recycling) the old ones. There’s always something that needs batteries! What a great giveaway.

We are always running out of batteries, and just last week, I decided we needed to invest in rechargeable batteries–but haven’t done the research. I would love to win these batteries! My kids would love it too! Last week, they couldn’t play their Wii (gasp) until I bought batteries days later.

This would be amazing we currently have 8 rechargeable batteries between me and my wife with her camera and 2 mouse/keyboards its hectic trying to keep batteries in everything charged and running let alone having the versatility to charge more than just AA would be great
