Take a moment and think about everything in your home that requires a battery and/or a charger.
You can probably list 10 items in as many seconds… right!
And since you all know how much I hate clutter {especially cord clutter} I’m always on the look out for space-saving, cord-organizing products that serve more than one purpose.
I recently came across Energizer’s new Universal USB chargers and knew I had to offer them as a giveaway because they are everything I just mentioned above… and more!
Not only are they super compact and portable, they have a flexible “pouch” that stores the cord, they are compatible with multiple devices, and they offer the ability to charge those devices from a wall, a car, and even a computer!
Take your pick.
I love that there is one set of chargers with a micro USB cable (see left image below) and one set of chargers with an Apple certified dock connector (see right image below).
The wall chargers offers a light that turns off when the item is fully charge, and the plug folds up for even easier storage.
The car chargers offer a FindMe light so you can easily see where to plug your device in… even in a dark car. Yes, they truly have thought of everything!
Dave and I each have a car charger in our car, and even though we each already have a wall charger for our phones, Dave uses the Energizer wall charger at school… so we never have to worry about being without a charger. Ever!
When we travel, we only take the Energizer USB Car Charger because it works with both of our phones and we can use it in the car or plug the USB end directly into our computer.
Talk about simple and organized 🙂

My biggest gripe is the unsightliness and that I can never find the right one.

With a baby in the house cord clutter can be a dangerous thing ๐

The biggest problem with cord clutter is finding random cords in drawers, closets and random places that you have NO IDEA what they are for!!! Then I hold onto them in case we remember. WHY?? do I do that–we never figure it out! Thanks, Renea.

Cord clutter… UGH! I cannot stand it behind my desk and television. Zipe ties have been a temporary solution, but oh I wish I could completely get rid of it all! I’m definitely a fan of the car charger ๐ I LOVE this blog! It’s like attending Organizing Church for me, haha!
Ashley says
Please pick me I really need one of these. I am going on vacation and I don’t have a car charger for my phone. This is a great idea! Cord clutter drives me nuts too. Love your blog! I get excited everyday when I see the email come across my screen!
Amazonite says
I find cord clutter the most frustrating at my desk, both at home and work — all of the computer components, peripherals, lamps, clocks, hubs, chargers and other crap create a web o’mess that causes a trip hazard.
Tari says
Oooh oohhh! Pick me! I love those cord organizers, kindle, phone, ipod same place? Brilliant!

I hate that even though I have wrapped each cord and labeled it, we still have dozens of them tangled together! I think my husband just throws them back in the drawer when done ๐ I would love these chargers b/c every time we go up north we take at least 4 cords with us (his 2 phones, my phone and one for our Apple products).

my biggest frustration is that there are so many different chargers!

I hate having cords all over the place. If they’re not on the counter, they’re getting all entangled in a drawer.
Kim says
I am constantly folding them up to keep them organized. And with the exception of the velcro cord wrap on my computer, I have to use cable ties which are helpful but a pain to remove!

my biggest frustration is never remembering where I put the cords that aren’t currently in use.
Laura says
The worst thing about cords is the potential tripline they cause when they are plugged into an outlet located in a less-than ideal spot on the wall…like right next to an entryway! The wrapping feature on this is awesome.
Michelle Aitken says
I can’t stand the mess all of the cords make, how tangled up they become and how ugly they are while in use!

I dislike seeing the clutter on the counter. It makes my OCD unhappy.
STH says
What I hate is when we travel and I have to try and pack all the chargers we use. And I always miss something.
JC says
Thank goodness for USB. I have dozens of old chargers with different tips and voltages that I have no idea what they go to–but I keep them around for no reasonable reason–guess it is time to declutter them too.
Karen O says
I love all of your ideas. The car charger would cove both my phone and my ipod ๐

My biggest frustration is when all the cords get so tangled up. We have so many cords, for the phone, for the printer, for the cell phone, for the compute, for the speakers., etc. They get into a jumbled mess and I have to clean them up. It would be nice to keep them in order for a longer period of time. Not to mention our four kids under the age of four getting into them sometime!
Chalyse Meiklejohn says
I hate cord clutter because they are trip hazards and are ugly!
Lauren says
I can’t stand the messy look of so many (needed) cords! To consolidate would be ideal!
