Take a moment and think about everything in your home that requires a battery and/or a charger.
You can probably list 10 items in as many seconds… right!
And since you all know how much I hate clutter {especially cord clutter} I’m always on the look out for space-saving, cord-organizing products that serve more than one purpose.
I recently came across Energizer’s new Universal USB chargers and knew I had to offer them as a giveaway because they are everything I just mentioned above… and more!
Not only are they super compact and portable, they have a flexible “pouch” that stores the cord, they are compatible with multiple devices, and they offer the ability to charge those devices from a wall, a car, and even a computer!
Take your pick.
I love that there is one set of chargers with a micro USB cable (see left image below) and one set of chargers with an Apple certified dock connector (see right image below).
The wall chargers offers a light that turns off when the item is fully charge, and the plug folds up for even easier storage.
The car chargers offer a FindMe light so you can easily see where to plug your device in… even in a dark car. Yes, they truly have thought of everything!
Dave and I each have a car charger in our car, and even though we each already have a wall charger for our phones, Dave uses the Energizer wall charger at school… so we never have to worry about being without a charger. Ever!
When we travel, we only take the Energizer USB Car Charger because it works with both of our phones and we can use it in the car or plug the USB end directly into our computer.
Talk about simple and organized 🙂

I have a basket filled with them and can never remember what goes to what…. Lord help me! If I no longer have the phone that goes with a cord, you can be sure I still have two cords for that phone!
Pam says
I don’t like to keep the cords plugged in or lying around, so they are in a drawer. I have six kids, five of which have cell phones, combined with my husband and my cell phones, makes a mess of cords!
Whitney L says

My biggest frustration with cord clutter is how MANY cords we need for all the different devices. It’s a pain having to keep and organize so many chargers!

biggest frustration – every one in our house has numerous ones, because we couldn’t possibly develop a universal cord like we do for remote controls.!
Julie says
I hate cords!!! The biggest problem is when you have to roll them up and then they don’t fit the right way you rolled them. Yuck.
Laura says
They get all tangled up no matter how neat I try to keep the charger drawer!
Kim c says
My biggest frustration with cords is remembering where I put them when I need them. I will tuck them away in the “perfect” spot then when I need them I can’t quite remember where that “perfect” spot was.

I dislike that I often need so many cords for one device. I was recently traveling by myself with my two kids and both my gps (which I had a car charger for that didn’t end up working) and my cell phone died while we were traveling. I ended up spending $50 on to car chargers so I could see where I was going AND be able to call loved ones in case of an emergency.
Annette says
I think they are unsightly, and they tend to get tangled.

I am now a fan on facebook

My biggest cord frustration is never knowing which cord goes to what. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve tried to charge my phone with my camera cord or the garmin with my phone charger!

My husband and I keep most of our spare cords in his desk drawer. It is frustrating because I cannot usually figure out which ones are which. They all look the same to me. :-/

I have already liked you on facebook and I would “LOVE” you on fb if I could lol. I am so enjoying reading every part of your blog! We are downsizing and trying to find a smaller home to simplify our lives, so I love the awesome helpful tidbits on your blog.
Now, for cord clutter, my biggest pet peeve is the massive amount we have under our computer desk and behind our entertainment center in the living room. I hate it!! I have all kinds of hooks and sticky tabs rigged up to hide them and it still never works!! GRRR

Cords drive me crazy. Especially all the cords that go along with computer equipment. No matter how much I try the always seem to end up in a big tangle.
Michelle says
I really dislike how messy the cords look, how they seem to always be dusty and having to constantly make sure they are out of reach of the little kids ๐
Julia says
So many frustrations with cord clutter– first off that they create clutter ๐ Also trying to keep them organized without getting tangled – but also remembering what they actually charge. I had never heard of the Energizer universal chargers before your blog and I LOVE them
