Weekend Giveaway: In-Cabinet Lighting

When we started our kitchen renovation, I was adamant that I wanted LOTS of light.

I hate dark kitchens… and our old kitchen just had one light in the middle of the kitchen and one light over the sink. We were always standing in our shadows and moving things around to get more light onto the cooking surfaces.

So I’m excited that our new kitchen has a whole bunch of lights. We have recessed lighting, pendant lights, under cabinet lights, a special light just for the stove… AND thanks to my friends at Jenesis Products, we even have lighting for the INSIDE of our cabinets!

Actually, these lights can be used almost anywhere you need a little extra light but don’t have an electrical outlet — like a closet, pantry, storage room, under the stairs, under a bathroom vanity, or even in a garden shed.

We have one light under our sink, one light in our lazy-susan, and another light waiting to go in our appliance garage (once the cabinet company finally delivers it!)

These In-Cabinet lights are actually really bright, and they easily illuminate our large lazy susan cabinet, which means I can quickly find whatever I’m looking for. And since we have our lights set on “automatic mode” they automatically turn on whenever the cabinet door opens (and then automatically turn off after 20 seconds!)

    Cool! I was just thinking about how I needed to go buy a light like this for a basement closet I “found” some space in yesterday for my giftwrap supplies. It ain’t beautiful, but it’s space I didn’t think I had. Thanks for the giveaway!

    There’s a dark corner in my master closet and unfortunately, it’s on my side. I sometimes need a flashlight to see what I’m trying to retrieve from the shelf.

    I would love a light in my butler’s pantry, it is so dark there at night. It would be nice to have a light to make drinks for parties at night.

    I have 2 kitchen corner cupboards that need light in them. They are very deep, and it’s difficult to find things in them. I find now that I’m 50, I am having even more trouble seeing into the dark cupboards. So these lights would be just the thing!

    Either my clothes closet….or the cabinet under the sink….both are hard to see it. I can’t wait to see your finished kitchen!!

    We really need more light in the hall and guest bath. But something like this would be handy in the cabinet where we store the drinking glasses and cups.

    I really need more light in my coat closet. It’s located in my front hallway which has poor lighting to begin with and when the closet door is opened it blocks even more light.
