I would NEVER consider myself a gourmet chef by any means — I make simple meals with simple ingredients… but everything usually tastes good (at least that’s what Dave tells me!) However, even though I don’t cook gourmet meals, it’s still nice to work with gourmet cooking tools — especially if they are designed specifically with the home chef in mind.

Today’s Weekend Giveaway features a gorgeous 6″ Wüsthof Classic Chopper Knife… and let me tell you, I feel like a gourmet chef when I’m using it!

    I like to go to our local farmers market and stock up on tons of fruit and veggies. I think this knife would make the chore of cutting up all that produce a lot easier!

    I’d use it to slice up Ingredients for jambalaya. It always takes a while with my knives to cut up the peppers, onions, celery, and whatever else I choose to add.

    I’d use this Wusthof Chopper every day when chopping veggies for the grill! Already a huge fan of Wusthof — I have the 7″ santoku, 3.5″ paring knife, and 8″ bread knife.

    Since this knife is too small for killing zombies it would used for slicing, dicing, chopping and mincing vegetables. The knife is nice and wide so it would become my new garlic smasher.

    My daughter and I would both use it a lot to chop veggies, etc. She is 14 years old and cooks lots of our meals. I love to cook as well, and we entertain a lot.

    I’d use it for most prep, although I think veggies would get chopped the most with this knife.

    I would use it on sweet potatoes. Is it just me or are those things strangely difficult to cut?!

    That’s a great sized knife. I would probably use it for most things– slicing, thru small melons, chopping veggies…… I tend to only really use 2-3 of the same knives all the time anyway. I could use a good sharp one!

    We’ve been wanting to start using Sunday nights to prepare meals for the whole week, and I’d definitely use this knife for chopping lots of salad ingredients!!

    I love my Wusthof knives! I would probably save the knife and give it to my husband for Father’s day since he loves to cook too!

    I would use it for food prep – chopping up vegetables and fruit is a chore for me, and this knife looks like it would make the task easier!
