Happy 4th of July!
Dave and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary this past Sunday (read about our engagement story here) and since I always try to get a picture of us on our anniversary, we asked my sister to take a few quick shots after church.
Nothing fancy, just with my phone… however our mini photo-shoot didn’t exactly go as planned.
Nora normally loves the camera and says “cheese” whenever we point the lens her way. But it was warm, we were hungry, Nora was tired, and well… this is what we ended up with 🙂
Trying out a new location…
Adding the doll…
And then we just decided to take one without Nora.
We did end up with 2 somewhat OK shots — so I guess our efforts weren’t totally wasted.
I’m certain we’ll look back on our 7-year anniversary pictures with lots of smiles 🙂

These photos are so much more fun than the ultra-staged looking kind. Years from now you’ll giggle looking through these.

Thank you for sharing your experience and pictures of your “not so perfect” photo shoot. It’s an encouragement to us other young mom’s with squirmy toddlers.

These shots made me laugh out loud! So true to life! Thanks for sharing.

Happy Anniversary! I gave my parents a 50th gathering this weekend! It was fun, simple and full of memories. I used many of their old photos. Maybe Nora will use this when she host a 50th for you and Dave! Congrats!

I almost fell off my chair…how did you two keep smiling with a wriggling, crying child in your arms!?!?!?!?!? Loved that you shared that with us!

It cracks me up -I swear kids know when you really want something to work- they know to make it not what we wanted. Really cute photos though!

These picutres are priceless Andrea and exactly the kind of pictures that will bring tears into your eyes each time you see them years from now… I have one picture of me carrying my brother on my lap (I was three, my brother one). He has his arms flung open with an expression of “somebody help me” while I seem blissfully unaware smiling at the camera with my tiny arms firmly wrapped around my brother… My mom says my brother burst out crying the moment that picture was taken. To this day, that picture is one of my favorite amongst my childhood pictures!

This is how our Christmas photos turned out! Haha.

Oops. That’s “husband” without the “s”.

I have similar photos of a granddaughter. Priceless! You all look wonderful. I love all your articles especially your recent “location” one. I told my daughter I feel as if I have a “virtual” daughter when I read your posts. My husbands gets to hear about some of them too.

You are a real champ smiling through that like a PRO! (Dave too, but you were holding the little wiggle worm so you get bonus points! LOL)
Happy Anniversary!

Real life–love it! Happy Anniversary, Dave and Andrea! Nora has a beautifully expressive face and great body language to go with it! Love the far flung arms in the classic SOMEBODY HELP ME pose. Was she whining, talking or crying? I need a sound track!
