Last year, I featured a REALLY cool product on my blog — the DUO Binder. It’s basically a 3-ring binder and an accordion folder all in one, and Dave and I both use them for a variety of things in our business and personal lives.
Dave uses his binders for his planner, school work, and coaching. I use my binders to store and organize all our important papers, keep track of our various manuals, and corral some of Nora’s craft supplies.
We LOVE these binders!
So I’m sure you can imagine how excited I was when I received a package on my doorstep earlier this fall with the brand new TRIO Binders inside.
These binders are basically just as amazing as the DUO Binders — but they have the added functionality of pop-out hanging tabs that allow you to hang the entire binder in any letter-size filling cabinet. This might sound like a small detail, but if you use your binder to organize any documents you access on a regular basis, keeping them readily available in a filing cabinet is just so handy.
Side Note: I just shared my new filing cabinet makeover yesterday — pop over and take a look!!
And since tax season is right around the corner (and since these binders would make an awesome Christmas gift) I thought it might be the perfect timing for a little TRIO Binder giveaway!!
Just think of all the things you could organize with this binder:
- Recipes and menu plans
- Home improvement information (paint swatches, ideas, invoices, receipts)
- Manuals, warranties, and product information
- Class materials for teachers, students, and parents
- Holiday gift ideas and receipts
- Greeting cards and gift tags
- Travel itineraries
- Photos or memorabilia
- Coupons and shopping lists
- Tax documents
- Kid’s artwork, school projects, report cards, etc.
- Craft supplies, colored papers, stickers, etc.
- and SOOO much more!

I love these! As a teacher this would be a great way to organize units that I teach, with an area for lesson plans, blackline masters, and assessments. I will definitely look into these!
Dana says
This would probably be my menu planning binder. However, I can think of so many uses for it I may experiment with several different uses to find the most effecient.

What a wonderful product! I’d either use it to finally get our coupons organized, or use it as a daily planner. I can see the current coupon inserts nicely organized in the binder section along with shopping lists, and the files filled with cut coupons, rewards and receipts. I can also see a nicely organized planner. Right now I use an agenda and a couple of notebooks to keep track of various things. How cool to have it all in one binder? Thank you, Andrea, for such a great giveaway. 🙂

This would be perfect to organize my genealogy research! These would work for both at home research and on-site research at courthouses. Thanks for sharing about them.
Lynne says
I would use the binder to put all of my manuals together so they are easy to find. I have tried many methods, I think this would work great!
Misti says
I would give this binder to my son. He is just moving out on his own and could use this to organize his papers. I would love to get him started on the right foot. Thanks for doing a great give away!

I would use it to organize all my homeschooling and household paperwork. I have a binder system for homeschool things now, but it is far from ideal, and I think a Duo or Trio would make it SO much easier!
Angela Hidlebaugh says
I would use this file folder to organize all of our medical and dental papers. It would be perfect!
Bridget says
Organize my medical files for the family! I need a new system!

I am planning to reorganize our files after the holidays since we recently moved and this would be great for all our product manuals and warranties and receipts.

As our children are getting older( 18 and 19 years old), I wanted to basically do the same as you have done. I wanted a general area where in just in case, if something should happen to us our kids would be able to find the important information that they would need.
Adrienne Yoshihara says
Been searching for a system like this to organize our crazy new life with twin babies (three y/o now). All our important docs in an easy to grab location.
Thanks!

Oh, so many uses come to mind! I should use it for an emergency binder. I want to use it for a general organizing binder. I LOVE custom-made spiral bound books, except for the fact that you can’t then change your mind and add things in later. 🙂 This looks like it might be close to the best of both worlds. Somehow I always have extra papers lying around.
Kerri says
I would use it in an attempt to finally get my desk under control.
MaryAnn says
I would use this to organize all of our various home/finance & school papers.
Janice says
I would use it for my grandson, who is ADHD, Dyslexic, and has Dysgraphia. He lacks executive functioning skills and this would help him tremendously. It would be very useful to organize all of our important papers.
Shanna says
Occasionally, we have to evacuate for hurricanes. I keep a binder of all of our important information and contact numbers, so that we easily can take it with us. This would be perfect for keeping all of our important contacts and documents together.
Holly says
We need an “Emergency” binder with all our important banking, financial, insurance, etc. info!
Tara says
I would use this as our moving binder. We are a military family and it is hard to keep all the needed papers/documents all in one safe spot that is easy to carry. This seems perfect.
Jen says
The logical half of me thinks ‘definitely use it for taxes’. But, as a writer, I generally lose to my less-logical side, and would LOVE to use this for organizing story drafts, story ideas, and to track submissions. How fun to combine two of my favorite things – writing and organizing!
Michelle says
I would use the binder to organize bills 🙂
amanda s. says
I would use this binder for bill paying.

I would use this binder at school for my Read 180 intervention program which requires a lot of small group planning.

Genealogy! I feel this binder would be perfect for organizing family tree information. What an awesome Christmas gift. Thanks for the opportunity to enter and give my feedback. 😀
Vicki F. says
These would be perfect for organizing recipes–tried and true, waiting to try, etc.
Sabrina says
I would use it to revamp our filing system since our files are in an old box in folders, and it’s a bit awkward to move the whole box when trying to get to records. This seems a lot easier to separate out medical, insurances, and other records. Thanks for doing a giveaway. 🙂
Michelle says
I would use it for my planner and idea collect book : )
Chris says
I could soooooo use these to get better organized at work. I have binders and folders and files, all with related information in them but in different places due to size and where they come from. I had no idea this product was even out there – or I would have purchased them already. Would love to win this and try it out!
