What do you get when you combine a store bought cake mix and store bought chocolate frosting with a few sprinkles and a “star” decorating tip?
A really quick and easy Mother’s Day dessert for my huge extended family cookout! I had high hopes of making the cupcakes and frosting from scratch. I had all the ingredients and I even found the recipes I wanted to use. But {there’s always a “but” isn’t there?} our weekend was just a little crazy so I resorted to a boxed mix and a can of frosting I had in the pantry. The cupcakes still tasted great, and using the star tip gave them that “made from scratch” look 🙂 But the thing I love the most about these cupcakes is the brand new, super cute cupcake liners I used from Sutton Gourmet Paper.
Aren’t they adorable?
Of course they have all different colors and designs, but the thing I love most about them is that the colors don’t fade after you bake the cupcakes. See what I mean?
You can see the HUGE difference between Sutton’s cupcake liners and other liners after the cupcakes come out of the oven.
These are my new favorite cupcake tools so I just thought I would share them with you. They really aren’t much more expensive than the plain cupcake liners in the store — and if you’re interested, you can purchase them directly from the Sutton Gourmet Paper website. Oh, and for those of you who are much more patient then I am, I’ll be offering a really fun cupcake party pack giveaway from Sutton Gourmet Paper next month!
I was not obligated to write this post. I just really like these cupcake liners and wanted to share them with you!
