Last year, I featured a REALLY cool product on my blog — the DUO Binder. It’s basically a 3-ring binder and an accordion folder all in one, and Dave and I both use them for a variety of things in our business and personal lives.
Dave uses his binders for his planner, school work, and coaching. I use my binders to store and organize all our important papers, keep track of our various manuals, and corral some of Nora’s craft supplies.
We LOVE these binders!
So I’m sure you can imagine how excited I was when I received a package on my doorstep earlier this fall with the brand new TRIO Binders inside.
These binders are basically just as amazing as the DUO Binders — but they have the added functionality of pop-out hanging tabs that allow you to hang the entire binder in any letter-size filling cabinet. This might sound like a small detail, but if you use your binder to organize any documents you access on a regular basis, keeping them readily available in a filing cabinet is just so handy.
Side Note: I just shared my new filing cabinet makeover yesterday — pop over and take a look!!
And since tax season is right around the corner (and since these binders would make an awesome Christmas gift) I thought it might be the perfect timing for a little TRIO Binder giveaway!!
Just think of all the things you could organize with this binder:
- Recipes and menu plans
- Home improvement information (paint swatches, ideas, invoices, receipts)
- Manuals, warranties, and product information
- Class materials for teachers, students, and parents
- Holiday gift ideas and receipts
- Greeting cards and gift tags
- Travel itineraries
- Photos or memorabilia
- Coupons and shopping lists
- Tax documents
- Kid’s artwork, school projects, report cards, etc.
- Craft supplies, colored papers, stickers, etc.
- and SOOO much more!

I am in the process of setting up binders for various catagories. I want one for bills and income, one for warranty and manuel information and one for the household. I certainly could use this. Thanks.

I would give this to my husband to use for his work. I definitely think this would be super helpful for him working at the District Attorney’s office. With so many files to keep up with and notes to be taken during court, this would help him organize it all in one place without lugging around so many different things.
Melissa - Bargain Shopper Mom says
I would use it to organize bills and other financial items.
Jenna says
I am a freelance ballet instructor and artistic director of a community ballet company. I would use this binder to organize lesson plans, student evaluations, recital ideas and information, and production notes from performances. Since I teach and organize performances at several different locations, it would be great to have all the information for all my jobs in one place. Right now I have different binders and bags for each job, but it would be great to have it all at my fingertips!
Jessie says
It would definitely be one f two ways…either in my classroom (I’m a HS math teacher) or at home organizing my “info”! Thanks
Chris says
I can think of about 100 things I could use it for …… Organizing papers from my 2 jobs; organizing papers for kids school and curricular activities; organizing papers for home, I.e. Insurance, warranties, taxes ……the list goes on!!

I could give this to a daughter who has just graduated from college and is leaving the nest. It looks like a great system to help keep vital documents organized, something everyone could use.

I can’t wait to start. 🙂

I would use it for a home organizational binder. I, like yourself Andrea, fight paper clutter. I have a two drawer file cabinet and can barely stand that. I would have a file for each family member, home improvement ideas, craft ideas, fitness programs, menu planning, and I could go on forever. I like the fact I could grab it and go if I were to go somewhere like a coffee shop and think and plan – sans kids.
Crystal H says
I would use it to organize all our personal info…birth certificates, SS cards, insurance papers….and so on.
Tammy Skipper (@Tammy_Skipper) says
Can I just say that I am continuously amazed at the simple features that blow my mind when it comes to office organization? Hanging tabs…genius! I think I will use these to organize tax documents, the kids’ important papers as they transition to college and need their own system, my business paperwork and more…love that they can go in and out of the drawers!!
Christina Steinhart says

I am a full time college student and stay-at-home mom, so I will use this binder to organize my schoolwork as well as the paperwork related to the house.

I think I would use it for the stuff I use a lot, my Bible Study sheets, the papers that I am going to need this week, coupons, the prayer list that I keep updated and ideas for the place that I volunteer. EVERYTHING that is in use so to speak, rather than filed.

Do I have to name just ONE Use…really we could use about 20 of these! But I would use as muy DAILY Go to Binder for To Dos, receipts and coupons to start. I created my own similar notebook and binder but this one is SO much better! and btw…new to your BLOG and LOVE IT!
Andrea Watts says
I need something to organize my coupons with. This would be awesome!
Molly Ekkens says
I would utilize my trio binder as a manual and warranty organizer for all of our small and large appliances and home maintenance notes. The file portion would hold the actual manuals, receipts and paperwork, the binder portions would lend themselves to fall and spring maintenance lists and how-tos, etc. This would ensure we remain updated on winterizing our sprinkler system, checking our smoke detectors and keeping up on our home maintenance inspections. This would be stored right in our file cabinet for ease of access and functionality.
Cheri says
