Dave and I have been in our farmhouse for two summers now… and we still don’t have a vegetable garden. I guess we’ve just been so busy renovating the inside of our house that we haven’t had the time to really dive into any big outside projects.
But after two summers without a garden, I’m starting to rethink whether we really NEED a garden right now or not.
It’s been a LONG summer of weddings for Dave and me… and Nora. We had a few friends and cousins get married — PLUS we also had Dave’s brother’s {out-of-state} wedding in June, my sister’s wedding in July, and then my other sister’s wedding this past weekend!
However the wedding this past weekend was extra special because Nora got to be the flower girl and she was so stinkin’ cute!
I’m a huge advocate for budgeting because I’ve seen first-hand how living within a budget helps us to simplify and organize our lives (not to mention stay out of debt).
And today, I’d like to talk a little bit more about budgeting — but this time, I’m going to focus on creating and using a budget to manage your space.
Now that it’s October, I feel like I can {and should} start thinking and planning for Christmas — specifically Christmas gifts.
This past weekend, I spent about 10 minutes making a Gift List and a Wish List — I do this every year and I’m always amazed by how these lists help me to simplify the holiday season.
Over the past few months, I’ve gotten tons of emails and questions asking about what appliances we purchased for our kitchen renovation, where we purchased them, what features we were looking for in appliances, etc. etc.
So since the appliances are finally here, and since I’ve been able to test them out for the past week or so, I figured I it was time for me to share a bit more about them.
In our first house, we had a grand total of THREE drawers in our kitchen. They were all extremely shallow so hardly anything fit in them. In our new kitchen, we have TEN drawers — and you better believe they are all big, deep, and wide enough to organize all our kitchen goodies!
Today, I’m sharing pictures of our new kitchen drawers — as well as all the different tools I’m using to keep them organized.
It’s no secret that I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE pumpkin. I’ll try pretty much any food made with pumpkin, and there’s a fairly good chance that I’ll like it.
