I’ve never been big on wearing makeup — mostly because I don’t like feeling it on my skin or my lips.
However, recently, I started wearing Simple Beauty Mineral makeup — which gives me a little more polished look and doesn’t feel like I have a mask on. I’m excited to share my review, some before/after pictures, and a giveaway with you today!
While I don’t particularly love the process of meal planning every week, I also know that if I don’t make some sort of general plan, our weeknights will be extra crazy and stressed.
Thankfully, I have a whole arsenal of go-to recipes that I can make at a moments notice as I always have the ingredients in the house. Today, I’m sharing a bunch of our favorite go-to meals.
Although Dave and I are oddballs and moved into our house the week before Christmas (yes, in frigid West Michigan), spring is actually the peak “moving season” in most parts of the country.
If you have plans to move this spring or summer (or if you’re dutifully helping friends or family move) here are 6 tips that should simplify and streamline the moving process!
I’m often asked if there are certain things that helped me to simplify and organize my life with 2 small children around. And while I don’t usually like to advocate for buying more STUFF, there are a handful of things that immediately come to mind when I’m asked these questions.
Today I’m sharing my “list”… and I’d love to know what STUFF would make your list!
While I realize that many of you might not share my ultra-enthusiastic views of homemaking, I DO think that every one of us wants our home to be a place we enjoy spending time with our family and friends. For some of us, it just takes a little extra motivation and willpower to get there — and that’s OK 🙂
Today, I’m sharing what being a “homemaker” means for me — as well as some great resources for those of you looking for a little of that motivation!
After I realized finger Jell-O was one of the only foods Nora would eat when she was younger, I tried a boatload of different recipes until I landed on this one… and I’ve been making it ever since.
It’s super quick, simple, and very sturdy — which makes it easy to cut into fun shapes and pieces.
Although I am definitely NOT a ‘health nut’ by any standards, I have been practicing one extremely healthy habit on a daily basis for the last 15+ years of my life.
It hardly takes any extra effort on my part but it makes a MASSIVE difference in how I look and feel physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. Oh, and it’s completely FREE!
Now that Nora is finally sleeping through the night, I’m FINALLY getting back to a more normal morning routine (after a 3-year hiatus!)
It feels great to be back in my early morning groove again — and I can’t believe how simply starting MY day off on the right foot can make such a drastic difference in the mood for my entire family.
I realize many of you might be thinking the title of this post is a joke… but I’m serious.
Yes, I know you can’t literally “make-over” your entire home in 5-minutes — but you CAN make-over one drawer, one shelf, one cubbie, or one small section of your house in 5 minutes.
We made it… whew!
Our very first family vacation with kids and I didn’t forget anything, we had a lot of fun, and we all made it home safe and sound (I kind of feel like I deserve a medal or something!)
Now that we’ve been living with our new kitchen for a couple of years, I’m starting to get lots of questions about what we do and don’t love about our appliances and other parts of the kitchen.
So although we love almost everything, I’m sharing all the “pros” and “cons” about our kitchen appliances in today’s post!
If I had a nickel for every time someone asked me what label maker I use, or what label maker I would recommend… I would have A LOT of nickels!
And while I completely understand why I’m asked these questions, I have to admit that I do NOT use a label maker. Today, I’m sharing the 2 main reasons why…
Not only is this Chocolate Peanut Butter pie completely delicious, it also earned me “Mom Of The Year” because I let Nora help, and “Wife Of The Year” because three of Dave’s favorite foods are chocolate, peanut butter, and pie 🙂
Not bad for a simple no-bake pie!
About a month ago, I googled “non-messy crafts and activities for toddlers” and literally got almost nothing.
After doing a bit more searching, and asking you guys on Facebook, I came up with a list of 10 of our favorite, relatively simple, non-messy crafts and activities for young children. I’d love to hear any of your ideas as well!
If you’ve ever wondered “How would Andrea organize my closet?” the simple steps in this post should basically answer that question!
On one of our recent walks, Nora had a frustrating “problem” that was solved with a very simple solution… and as I walked on, I realized that many of us adults have a similar problem that could also be solved with a very simple solution.
Keep reading for the valuable life lesson from Nora… it’s amazing the things our kids teach us 🙂
I have a confession to make — I’ve actually NEVER made a cake from scratch before about a month ago!
I’ve always loved the taste (and ease) of boxed cake mixes — and I’ll certainly continue to use boxed mixes, but I’m also happy to have found this SUPER SIMPLE from-scratch chocolate cake recipe!
Dave and I always have a good amount of gift cards to various places around town… some of which we buy ourselves during the special holiday gift card sales and promotions!
I have a super simple method to keep track of all our cards… and I’m sharing that today. It’s a method I’ve been using for about 10 years and I’ve never ONCE lost or misplaced or forgot about a gift card — so it works!!
