Our Deck Project: Out With The Old, In With the Trex!
We started working on our new Trex deck last week Friday… and as of today, we’re ALMOST finished!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Bars
Last week, I was on a mission to use up a bunch of the stock-pile in our freezer and pantry — and in the process, I came up with a new favorite dessert recipe involving 2 of Dave’s favorite ingredients: Chocolate and Peanut Butter!
The results were pretty darn good if you ask me — the perfect combination of smooth, crunchy, salty and sweet!
DIY Laundry Detergent That Actually Works
Over the past 3+ years, I’ve shared a number of DIY cleaning products here on the blog; however, I’ve never shared a recipe for DIY laundry detergent because I couldn’t find a recipe I actually liked.
That all changed a couple months ago — so today, I’m sharing my new favorite DIY laundry detergent. It works fabulously, it’s really easy to make, it’s quite frugal, and it makes a huge batch!

Graphs and Charts and Survey Results… Oh My!
I’m FINALLY sharing the results from the blog survey I asked you to take way back in February. I learned so much from that survey and was blown away by all your kind, generous, and encouraging responses. Thank you!

Our New Trex Deck Project
Last week, I shared some of the progress (and the plans) for our mudroom project. We still have several things to cross of our “mudroom to-do list”, but we’re already gearing up for our 2nd project of the summer… a new deck!
Or maybe I should say, “replacing our old, tiny, unusable deck with a brand new, much larger deck”. I’m sharing those plans today!

Craigslist 101: Are You Asking The Right Questions?
As a very experienced Craigslist buyer, I’ve had my fair share of “are you kidding me?” reactions after arriving to buy what I THOUGHT was going to be a great bargain. Thankfully, those experiences are getting fewer and farther between as I’ve learned a lot about asking the right questions.
Today, I’m sharing a list of questions you can ask to hopefully save yourself some time and gas money when shopping on Craigslist.
Why We’re Loving Netflix + ChromeCast
Over the last few months, our entire family has enjoyed using Netflix with our ChromeCast as we can now watch our favorite shows when and where it’s convenient for us.
These two services have totally transformed the way we watch TV… and today, I’m sharing some of our favorite features of using Netflix with ChromeCast.
We’re Ready for Some Mud… Literally
Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared bits and pieces of the progress we’re making in our new mudroom — but today, I’m sharing a lot more details, photos, plans, etc. Aren’t you excited? 🙂
Right now, we’re waiting for the drywall guy to come and “mud” the seams — then it’s ready for us to paint, trim, and lay new floors!
