It’s very common to hear about “least favorite chores” or “dreaded chores” — often accompanied by various remedies or tips to reduce the time and effort it takes to complete those chores.
In my experience, it’s not nearly as common to share a FAVORITE household chore… but that’s what I’m doing today!!
For the past 5 years, we have had ONE nice-looking vegetable garden — the others have been completely covered with weeds by fall.
This year, we’re trying something new to (hopefully) help us keep the weeds down– boy does it look ridiculous! I’m almost a little embarrassed to share pictures on the blog!
I am not one to follow fads or trends, I have never been the type to “jump on the band wagon” just because “everyone else is doing it”, I rarely have super strong opinions about specific topics, I don’t see many things in life as “black or white” with no middle ground, and I strongly dislike all-or-nothing decisions and situations.
Instead, I opt for a mentality of all-things-in-moderation — which has been a HUGE asset in my quest for simple living.
Last fall, I shared a my personal plan to purge every single space in my home before the New Year. My little “project” went so well that I decided to continue it year-round!
However, I also added in a few new components which have allowed me to slowly deep-clean, purge, and organize my way through our entire home 3 times every year (with very little extra effort)!!! I can’t wait to share the details with you!
