15 Minute, No-Bake Snack Balls

posted by Andrea | 02/28/2018 | 19 comments

In an effort to add healthier options to our afternoon snack, I’m always on the lookout for super easy snacks that are slightly more nutritious than traditional baked goods or store-bought goodies, kid-friendly, and have a decent shelf/freezer life.

Today’s recipe definitely fits all my criteria — which is probably why it’s a favorite in our house!

We Played Musical Bedrooms… again!

posted by Andrea | 02/27/2018 | 38 comments

Remember this past summer, when I spent hours upon hours (while 7-8 months pregnant) painting, moving furniture, installing closets, hanging decorations, and sewing bedding in an effort to transform our upstairs bedrooms for our kids?

Well, it only lasted about 5 months before the kids decided they ALL wanted to share a bedroom… today I’m sharing how we rearranged things to make that happen (and what we’re doing with the extra room in our house!)

How and Where I Store My Cleaning Products

posted by Andrea | 02/23/2018 | 17 comments

I’ve never been one to want or use tons of different cleaning products — I sort of stick to the basics to prevent the need to organize my cleaning supplies (which seems like a funny concept to me!)

So today, after 8 years of blogging about cleaning and organizing, I’m finally sharing how and where I store my cleaning products!

10 Ways to Be a Lifelong Learner – No School Required

One of my college professors would always say, “If you stop learning, you stop living” and I fully agree. There is so much joy and satisfaction that comes from learning and developing a new skill.

Even if you aren’t a “book nerd” and don’t really love the idea of going back to school, there are still MANY ways you can be a lifelong learner.

Don’t Worry About Perfection… Just Move Forward

posted by Andrea | 02/21/2018 | 19 comments

Our 2017 photo book arrived last week, which got me thinking about all the times people have told me they “wish they would have started making digital books when their kids were born”.

The point of today’s post is NOT that everyone should create digital photo albums. Rather, I hope to encourage you to stop worrying about doing everything perfectly, and instead, focus on what you can do right now and just MOVE FORWARD!

Our Current Bedtime Routine

Dave and I certainly have a long way to go before becoming “super parents” but I will say we have our kid’s bedtime routine DOWN TO A SCIENCE!

Today, I’m sharing what our children’s bedtime routine looks right now — not because I think everyone should use our routine, but simply because I get asked about our bedtime routine quit eoften, and I know it’s always interesting to read what works for other families!

My New Planner Layout

posted by Andrea | 02/19/2018 | 27 comments

I’ve been using a Personal Planner for the last 5+ years — and I’ve used the same layout every year.

However, this year, I decided I wanted to try a different page layout… crazy enough, I’m super happy with the difference this one small change has made in my productivity and efficiency!

If I Could Pay Someone To Do One Chore For Me…

posted by Andrea | 02/16/2018 | 46 comments

I was recently joking with a friend about how I’d love to pay someone to do all the food preparing and cleanup for me everyday — seriously, do you know how many extra hours I would gain each day!

I’m sharing a bit more about this today — and I’d love to know what chore you’d would most like to pay someone else to do for you!

Are You Organized for the Unexpected?

posted by Andrea | 02/15/2018 | 86 comments

There are many situations where someone else might need to step in and run your home, pay your bills, care for your children, or manage your life… and if your home is completely unorganized, there’s a good chance the people who are trying to help won’t be able to.

Today I’m re-sharing part of a post from 3 years ago, as well as my own thoughts to hopefully encourage and motivate you to be a little more diligent with your organizing efforts.

Quick Tip: Increase Productivity by Turning Notifications Off

posted by Andrea | 02/13/2018 | 15 comments

I know smartphones get a bad rap for being time wasters, productivity zappers, and life distractions… and I suppose they can be. However, one thing I’ve done for years and years (but only recently realized how beneficial it is for my life) is to turn off all notifications.

It only took a few seconds to turn off my notifications, and I’m 100% positive it helped to increase my productivity and decrease the number of times I get distracted or pulled away from what I was supposed to be doing.

You’ll Never Guess Our Largest Monthly Expense!

posted by Andrea | 02/12/2018 | 39 comments

I’ll be honest, I haven’t been overly aware of how much we’re spending in what categories over the past 6 months (I blame it on baby #4 arriving 5 months ago!)

However, curiosity got the best of me last month, so I quickly opened our Finance Tracking Workbooks for the last several years… and I was totally shocked at what I found!

After many years of working with in-home organizing clients (and many years purging my own home), I know all too well how alluring it can be to “donate” something instead of dumping it in the trash. After all, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”… right?

Today, I’m sharing why some of our “trash” is just “trash” and not worth donating!

Just about 8 years ago, I got the crazy idea (after reading it somewhere on the internet) that I wanted to start using OIL to cleanse my face!

That post was so popular that I STILL get comments, questions, and emails asking if we really use oil to cleanse our face… so today, I’m sharing an update, 8 years later!

What I Keep In Our Diaper Bag for 4 Kids

posted by Andrea | 02/5/2018 | 5 comments

A couple weeks ago, I decluttered, cleaned, and simplified the contents of my diaper bag… and as crazy as it might sound, we actually keep LESS in our diaper bag with 4 kids than we did with 2 or 3.

Today I’m sharing exactly what we keep in our diaper bag, and several of my favorite diaper bags!
