I have a handful of bargain items on this month’s favorite things list — in fact, I believe every item is less than $20!
As always, be sure to check out some of my favorite things from past months and share your favorite things in the comments!

You might think that someone in my line of work would have a serious infatuation with all types of storage containers… but in my case, you would be wrong because I (almost) never buy storage containers. Today, I’m sharing why.
I’m also sharing my favorite types of storage containers (for when I actually do buy them!)

Over the past 5 years, I have shared several posts about the planners I have used… but I don’t think I’ve ever shared exactly HOW I use my planner, or why this method works so well for me.
Obviously, I don’t expect my method to be the perfect system for everyone else. However, maybe what works for me will spark a few new ideas that will work better for you!

Green beans are my most favorite vegetable… and even though Dave doesn’t necessarily share my intense love of green beans, he has really enjoyed the beans I’ve been making lately (I’m sure the bacon doesn’t hurt my efforts!)
If you’re looking for a new (but extremely simple) way to cook green beans, give this recipe a try!

Throughout the month of November, the kids and I worked on an “extra special Christmas present project” that we couldn’t share until after all our Christmas gifts had been given.
We made handprint calendars for our grandparents… and today, I’m sharing the results (as well as a few tips and resources to simplify the process)!

Over the past several years, one of the MOST common complaints I hear from others is, “it’s just so overwhelming… I don’t know where to start.” Can you relate?
I know I can certainly relate to feeling totally overwhelmed when certain projects are hanging over my head — so today, I’m sharing 3 really simple tips that will hopefully help you to finally tackle those projects that seem so overwhelming!

One of my favorite refrigerator pies is Black Bottom Pie — and today, I’m sharing the delicious from-scratch recipe my mom and grandma have been making for years.
And if you’re not up for a completely from-scratch recipe, I’m also sharing a much simpler pudding pie recipe that tastes almost the same!

Happy New Year! I hope you all had at least a few moments to relax a bit over the holiday season.
I shared a bit about our Christmas break in yesterday’s post… and today, I’m back with a few more of my favorite things! As always, be sure to check out some of my favorite things from past months and share your favorite things in the comments!

We sent out our Christmas cards last week — so I figured it was safe to share them on the blog now! I’m also sharing some of my favorite Christmastime posts from previous years, my favorite Christmas recipes, and a bunch of pictures from earlier Christmases in the Dekker house!
Merry Christmas! I’ll see you back here on the blog next year!

Just over 3 years ago, I shared a post about how we sort, purge, organize, and store our various toys. As you can imagine, A LOT has changed around our house since then — including how we store and organize our growing number of toys.
Today I’m sharing how we store and organize all our various toys, books, games, crafts, and other kid items.
