No, no baby yet… but at this point, a new bathtub is almost as big of an announcement for us!
After 4.5 years of living in our 3-bathroom house, we finally have a “real bathtub” for our kiddos to splash around in… and yes, they totally love it!
Believe it or not, I have never had any type of “birth plan”… and I don’t plan on making one for baby #3 either!
I realize many of you might think I’m crazy, and some of you certainly will not agree with my reasonings — and that’s OK. However since I’ve been asked about my birth plan many times over the past few months I figured it was time I shared why I’ve never had a birth plan.
Since Nora enjoys cooking and helping out in the kitchen SO much, I figured it might be fun to start posting a few SUPER simple recipes that not only taste great, but are easy for little hands to help with.
Todays very first “Kids in the Kitchen” post is a fabulously simple recipe for personal pan pizzas… and it just so happens to taste really good too!
How is it already June!?!? With only a few more days of school left for Dave, we are anxiously anticipating the start of summer — and a less structured, less rushed, more relaxed day-to-day life (until the baby arrives anyway!)
Today, I’m sharing a few more of my favorite things for the month, and I’d love to know your list too!
A LONG time ago, I promised myself that I wouldn’t be “that mom” who always picked up and re-did chores after her kids because it wasn’t good enough for my own standards.
I’ve reminded myself of this promise many times… but I never expected to be at the point in my life where I had to put it into practice so soon!
Over the years, I’ve shared many tips for saving time and money at the grocery store (one of my least favorite places!) However, due to the fact that I get SO many questions about grocery shopping, I figured it was time to re-share one of my BEST time-saving tips (at least when it comes to grocery shopping).
So what is my amazing tip? Click through to find out!
Have you ever felt discontent with one area of your home, life, body, etc? If you’re human (and especially if you’re female) I’m guessing the answer is yes!
Today, I’m sharing a super simple “remedy” I use when I’m feeling less-than-content about something in my life… I’m always amazed how well it works!
The start of summer is officially less than ONE month away — yay!
Although this is often a very full and busy time of year for many of us, it’s also a great time to put a little effort into getting organized BEFORE summer starts. Today, I’m sharing some of the things we do to get organized for the start of summer.
Although we are fortunate not to have any known food allergies or sensitivities in our home, we do have many friends who can’t eat certain foods. Because of this, I’m often on the lookout for allergy-friendly recipes that actually taste good.
Today’s chocolate cake recipe is one of those allergy-friendly desserts that definitely still tastes really good. Oh, and it’s super easy too!
Four years ago, I wrote a post about The 80/20 Rule for Your Closet, and honestly, I think about that post almost daily.
In almost every aspect of my life, the 80/20 rule rings true — and after realizing this, I have started to use the 80/20 rule as a great “tool” to help and encourage me to purge more than I otherwise might.
Dave and I saved SO much money the first 6+ years of our marriage by almost never (and I mean never) going out to eat.
However, over the past couple of years, we’ve managed to dine out almost once a week for a VERY minimal cost (often times even free!) Today, I’m sharing 7 ways we dine out on a budget!
The last 2 weeks have been a crazy whirlwind of hustle and bustle around the Dekker house as we have officially kicked off our 2015 “project season”.
It’s a bit earlier than we normally start working on projects, but with a new baby due around the end of June / early July, we felt the need to start early. Today, I’m sharing our plans (and some of our progress)!
I would normally consider myself to be a high-energy person. However, there are definitely times when I have a little less energy.
Even though I might not actually BE very energetic at various times during the day, I have a whole bunch of things I can do to make myself FEEL more energized. I’m sharing 10 of those tips today!
Two years ago, I shared about a “no-spending month” Dave and I were doing; and over the past 2 years, many of you have congratulated me, but told me why a no-spending challenge would NEVER work for you.
So today, I’m sharing why a no-spending challenge COULD indeed work for ANYONE who wants to do one!
