A few of my favorite things for the month of November.
It’s a REALLY random list again this month — but all things I’m using regularly!!
If you’re looking for a few tips to get your morning off to a great start, this post should get you on the right track.
On the other hand, if you’re feeling totally overwhelmed by the thought of waking up early, I’m right there with you… and I think you’ll take comfort in what I have to say at the end of this post.
This is a post I’ve been itching to write for years already — but I didn’t think I would hold any “clout” on the topic until I had at least 2 kids.
So now that the “having two kids” part has been taken care of, I have a few (maybe more than a few) things to say about why I STRONGLY believe we should stop worrying and stressing about making every single aspect of our children’s lives “fair” and “equal”.
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve made a few small changes to my blog… and as I was updating things, I realized that I’ve never done any type of “start here” post for new readers.
So although I know many of you are veteran readers (and I’m so grateful for you) I thought it might be time for an AndreaDekker.com “how-to post” — and I think even you veteran readers might learn something new!
After our end-of-summer party last week, Dave and I are in full-on “Fall Mode”. We’ll be outside almost any chance we get raking and mulching leaves, dead-heading flowers, splitting perennials, draining hoses, cleaning yard tools, emptying flower pots, and preparing our home for the COLD Michigan winter that is just weeks away.
Today, I’m sharing a few simple and frugal ways we’re preparing our home and our yard for cold weather.
One of my goals in life has always been to simplify (shocking, I know!) I take great pleasure in finding simpler, more organized ways to run my home, my work, and my life. It’s not always easy, but it is always worth my efforts.
Today, I’m sharing one key factor that has made my life more simplified and helped me avoid burnout. You might just say it’s my “Top Tip For Simple Living”!
About 5 weeks ago, I shared a week-long series about clothes clutter here on my blog. I was thrilled that the overwhelming majority of response were extremely positive.
However, along with all the excitement came lots more questions. Not bad questions or rude questions — just questions. I’m answering many of those clothes clutter questions in today’s post!
A couple months ago, a reader shared a delicious pasta recipe with me. I tweaked it a bit, simplified it A LOT, and came up with a super simple, very delicious Chicken, Bacon, Pesto Pasta that even Nora devoured!
If you’re looking for quick week-night meal that will please the whole family, keep reading…
